Refs Stopped The Blowout by Turk Telekom.
One of the most interesting series of Korac Cup is going to be remembered with the plays took at off the court. At Paris, Telekom squad learned that Limoges flight was postponed without a reason given. After a 6-hour train journey, Telekom arrived tired and no time left to have a training. The 1st part ended with Limoges 14-point win. In Ankara, Telekom was struggling though playing with 6000 fans. Anyway, they managed to close the first half with a 5-point lead. 10 remained for the second half. Nothing changed untill the 30th minute. But still have time to make it +14. Telekom made a great offense and recorded a 13 point lead remaining 8 mins left. It was a blow out in 2 mins. Telekom guard Murat Evliyaoglu was stopped with a foul at a lay up, refs didn't call that. Limoges didn't miss the fast break chance. Telekom center Marijan Kraljevic's inside shooting was illegally blocked but no points given. Refs seriously affected the game in a very little period, when Telekom was about to produce the +14. On the other hand, Yann Bonato throwing himself on the floor after his 3-point attempts was rewarded with free throws... Well, Telekom did not played all that great as expected but did not deserve this way of an end. This game was important in the crusade for deciding who is going to have more teams in Euroleague.
